Summary

Ipamorelin is a ghrelin-receptor agonist that selectively stimulates GH release with less effect on cortisol and prolactin than some secretagogues. It has been studied in small human trials for postoperative recovery and GI motility, but not broadly for body composition. Overall evidence is still early-stage and not definitive for common off-label uses.
